Rent is a deductible expense

Operating-lease rent is booked as an expense every month, with no asset to depreciate. For passenger cars up to 10 seats the deductible rent is capped at ฿36,000 per car per month; pickups and 12-seat vans have no such cap. If you buy a passenger car, depreciation only counts on the first ฿1 million of its cost.
