Freediving school · Chaloklum Bay, Koh Phangan
Small-group AIDA & SSI courses in the calm water of the Gulf of Thailand. Four students per instructor, a line in the bay every morning, yoga when the sky turns violet.
Why freediving
No tank, no noise, no bubbles. Just a slow breath, a mask and a line dropping into the blue. Freediving teaches your body something it already knows: how to slow down.
We opened Bluehour in Chaloklum because the bay is sheltered, deep water is a 15-minute boat ride away, and the evenings here turn the colour of our name. Groups stay tiny, so every single dive is watched.
Slow, quiet breathing before every dive. We never teach hyperventilation.
Relaxation saves oxygen. We train the mind first, the depth comes later.
One up, one down. Every dive is watched from the surface — even the 5 m ones.
Courses & retreats
Every course mixes theory, dry breathing work, shallow-water sessions and line dives in the bay. Prices include gear, boat and certification.
Course pathway
Each level sits at the depth it usually takes you to. Tap a level for days, price and sample requirements.
Sample numbers. Exact requirements depend on AIDA or SSI standards — and on you. Depth is never the goal; a relaxed dive is.
Dry CO₂ table trainer
A CO₂ table keeps the hold the same and shortens the rest, so your body gets used to the urge to breathe. Enter your comfortable max — we build 8 rounds.
Never practise breath-holds in or near water — not in a pool, a bath or the sea. Sit or lie down, never alone, and stop at once if you feel dizzy or tingly. Learn the real technique with an instructor.
Not your record — a hold that still ends calmly.
