Koh Kood · Trat · Gulf of Thailand

Sixteen villas,
standing in the sea.

Sela sits at the end of a 380-metre teak jetty in a quiet bay on Koh Kood's west coast. Glass floors, sea ladders and a house reef two metres under your bed.

The idea

No beach chairs.
Just the tide.

We built Sela for people who would rather swim than sunbathe. Every villa has its own ladder into the water, and the jetty lights stay low so the plankton can glow.

  1. 01

    A reef under the floor

Glass floor panels in every villa. Parrotfish at breakfast, blue-spotted rays at lunch.

  2. 02

Built on, not into, the bay

Pile-driven stilts, no dredging, rainwater tanks and a solar roof on every villa.

  3. 03

    Two sides, two moods

Sunset villas face the open gulf. Lagoon villas look over calm, waist-deep water.

            Getting here

Bangkok to your ladder in about six hours.

Koh Kood has no airport and no car ferry from Bangkok. Most guests fly or drive to Trat, then take a speedboat from Laem Sok pier. Our boat lands at the Sela jetty, so you step off at your villa.
